NovaThreads

NovaThreads is a noninvasive alternative to a face, neck, or body lift, using dissolvable PDO (polydioxanone) threads to lift and tighten the skin. NovaThreads can be used to treat a variety of areas.

How Do NovaThreads Work?

NovaThreads are a great solution for patients wishing to lift sagging skin, smooth wrinkles, and decrease the appearance of fine lines. During the process, your Medspa expert will strategically place threads under the skin and gently pull them to create a lifting effect.

There are three types of NovaThreads used for different purposes:

Smooth Threads are used for skin rejuvenation, collagen stimulation, and firmness

Barbed Threads contain small barbs that pull and lift skin, as well as stimulate collagen production

Twisted Threads add a small amount of volume, which is excellent for lip borders and wrinkles

Once the threads are placed, they continue to dissolve until fully absorbed by hydrolysis within 4 to 6 months. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis, and the created skin structure will hold for another 12 to 15 months. During your initial consultation, your expert injector will help create an individualized treatment plan to decide what threads are best for you.

FAQs

There is typically little to no downtime after this treatment. Patients may experience some swelling, bruising, or redness at the treatment sites that resolve within a few days.

NovaThreads last for 4 to 6 months before dissolving. As they dissolve, they stimulate collagen production to maintain results for another 12-15 months.

A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to ensure your comfort. Some redness and swelling following the treatment are common.

The cost of a NovaThreads treatment varies depending on the number of threads needed to achieve your desired results. During your initial consultation, your injector will learn more about your cosmetic goals and create a custom treatment plan.
