Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon – Dr. Gene Lee
A board-eligible plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Gene K. Lee specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, eyelids, nose, ears and body. A native of Los Angeles, he completed dual residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Southern California after living in Seoul, South Korea.
Thanks to his multi-cultural background, Dr. Lee has a deep understanding of different standards of beauty amongst different cultures, allowing him to develop a keen eye, providing his patients with procedures that can maximize the intrinsic beauty unique to their own ethnicity.
Upon graduation from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in biological sciences and a minor in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP), he attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati with further graduate studies in health policy and administration at Harvard. During his five years of general surgery residency and three years of plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at USC, he received the prestigious USC Broad Stem Cell and Regenerative Research Award to pursue a research sabbatical during his training.

Dr. Lee and his wife Julie enjoy traveling, being immersed in art, and exploring the connections between art and fashion. His passion for the arts has also allowed him to merge his love of science and artistry into his plastic surgery career. They love spending time with their five-year-old Scottish terrier named Wally and their five-year-old American shorthair tabby cat, Hunter.
As he joins Barrett Plastic Surgery, he’s excited to meet new local, out-of-state, and international patients for all aesthetic plastic surgery needs. We are thrilled to become a part of your journey.
