Mikayla Matthews underwent a breast augmentation with lollipop lift in 2023 in Utah by another surgeon. She reported firmness, mild pain, and discomfort in the right breast, which appeared higher than the left. These symptoms began within weeks of surgery. The implants had been placed submuscularly. Additionally, she reported systemic symptoms that began postoperatively, including a bacterial infection, gastrointestinal disturbances, and widespread worsening of previous dermatologic symptoms (burning, itchy rash with spots on the neck, and rashes primarily on the back and arms). She wished to have her breast implants removed to alleviate the pain and discomfort in the right breast, while still maintaining some breast volume post-explant.

Procedure Details
