Non-Surgical Butt Lift

Like other areas of the body, your derriere can experience changes over time that leave you feeling less than satisfied with your appearance, losing firmness and shape – a natural consequence of numerous factors including age, pregnancy, weight fluctuations, menopause and gravity. If your shape has become noticeably reduced or otherwise looks less than flattering, Dr. Barrett offers a host of treatment options to restore your perkier bum so you can flaunt your favorite jeans with confidence once again.

What is a Non-Surgical Buttock Lift?

One procedure that can add fullness and shape to the backside without anesthesia or incisions is known as the non-surgical buttock lift. This procedure uses the injectable dermal filler Sculptra to round out the buttocks with limited pain and downtime. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, which works differently in the body than standard hyaluronic acid dermal fillers like Juvederm, not adding volume right away, but rather stimulating the body’s own production of collagen to produce youthful volume naturally over time. While the improvements take time to develop, the results also last longer, with most patients enjoying their non-surgical buttock lift for up to three years or more.

But the benefits go beyond more volume: the stimulation of collagen in the deeper dermal structure also softens and rejuvenates the skin on the outside, creating a smoother, more attractive contour. You may also see a reduction in the appearance of cellulite as the collagen production thickens the skin and minimizes the dimpled look.

Is a Non-Surgical Buttock Lift Right for You?

You might consider a non-surgical buttock lift if you would like to rejuvenate your backside but don’t want to undergo surgery and lack sufficient fat for a Brazilian Butt Lift. Concerns addressed through a non-surgical buttock lift using Sculptra include:

  • Sagging or drooping
  • The loss of shape
  • A desire for subtle fullness and projection
  • Hollowed areas
  • Stretch marks or cellulite

Dr. Barrett will assess your personal needs and aesthetic goals in detail during your in-person consultation to determine whether a non-surgical buttock lift is the right choice for you. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not undergo Sculptra injections in the buttocks. If you have a medical condition, Dr. Barrett will weigh that information as well to ensure your procedure is both safe and successful.

Benefits of a Non-Surgical Buttock Lift

While a non-surgical buttock lift may not be the best choice for every patient, those that do undergo the procedure will see numerous benefits, including:

  • A fast, in-office procedure, usually completed in 30 minutes
  • No anesthesia required for the treatment
  • No incisions, so no postoperative scarring
  • No need to have sufficient fat in another area for transfer
  • The return to regular activities right away
  • Gradual, natural-looking results that appear over time
  • Results that may last up to three years or more

When to Choose Surgery Instead

While Dr. Barrett will recommend the non-surgical buttock lift when it’s appropriate for the patient, there are situations in which a Brazilian Butt Lift or surgical augmentation might be the better option. Patients that have a significant amount of sagging will likely require surgery to excise loose skin and create a firmer contour; if you’re looking for a substantial increase in fullness, a Brazilian Butt Lift might provide more satisfying results. Surgical buttock augmentation or a Brazilian Butt Lift may also be a better choice for patients that want their results to last longer than a few years.

Non-Surgical Buttock Lift Overview

Once Dr. Barrett has a thorough understanding of the results you hope to achieve, he’ll mark the treatment area to place the injections where they’ll produce a natural, balanced result. Several injections will be strategically placed to ensure the outcome you want, and injections take just a few minutes to complete. To ensure the process is as comfortable as possible, lidocaine in the formulation numbs the area as the solution is injected.

After Your Non-Surgical Buttock Lift

You’ll be able to resume your daily routine immediately after your procedure. Your buttocks may be a bit sore from the injections, but it shouldn’t last more than a few days. You might be disappointed to discover your backside doesn’t look significantly fuller when you leave our office, but keep in mind this treatment takes some time to work; you’ll begin to see your  results develop in the months following your session. In addition to more fullness, you may see a noticeable reduction in stretch marks and cellulite as your skin becomes thicker and smoother. If additional volume or smoothing is desired after your full results have developed, an extra session can be arranged.

Results should last up to three years, although some patients have enjoyed their enhancement much longer.
