Under Eye Dark Circle Correction

Under Eye Dark Circle Correction

The eyes are one of the first features that draw people’s attention, so aesthetic issues around the eyelids and surrounding skin can greatly detract from your overall appearance. While the natural aging process is often to blame, cosmetic injections are a quick and cost-effective way to restore a fresh, youthful glow to the upper face. Dr. Barrett is exceptionally skilled at dermal filler and skin lightening procedures, so he will take great care to achieve a less tired look without affecting your natural facial expressions or disrupting the shape of your eyes and face.

Under Eye Dark Circle Correction

Individuals are likely eligible for under-eye dark circle correction if they suffer from one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Prominent fat pockets around the lower eyelid region
  • Facial hollowing and/or volume loss in any of the following regions: the lower eyelid, the midface, and the cheek areas
  • Skin hyperpigmentation (i.e. some patches of skin appear darker in color than your natural skin tone)
  • Thin skin allowing the underlying muscle and blood vessels to show

Under Eye Dark Circle Correction

Under-eye dark circle correction can be resolved through a combination of specialized dermal fillers and skin lightening procedures, tailored towards your individual needs. We recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Barrett to choose the ideal combination to achieve your desired look.

  • Dermal Fillers – Injectable dermal fillers are one of Dr. Barrett’s most popular options because it is a minimally invasive procedure with limited pain. Using filler injections, such as the poly-l-lactic acid Sculptra or the calcium hydroxyapatite Radiesse, can soften skin creases, revive shallow contours, and stimulate collagen growth in recessed scars to minimize their appearance.
  • Microneedling – This is a minimally invasive and low pain procedure that is designed to combat signs of aging. In this procedure, we will create micro-injuries using a dermaroller (a small, handheld paint roller coated in tiny needles) to trick your scalp into even producing more cells, collagen, and elastin – all of which are responsible for bringing about healthier follicles and skin.
  • CO2 Laser Resurfacing – This laser treatment is a safe, non-invasive procedure that helps rebuild and rejuvenate your skin by reducing unwanted blemishes and scarring. This laser peeling treatment improves skin discoloration and reduces wrinkles by essentially tricks your skin cells into creating newer cells. As a result, your body can replace damaged areas all on its own after just three to five 30-minute treatment sessions!
